TexanTreks is heading to Panama!

Well for our next big adventure TexanTreks is heading for eight days in Panama. Two years ago was a brilliant trip to London and Paris. Last year was a spectacular visit to Peru and Machu Picchu. Next up is Panama.

So just what does Panama have to offer you ask? Well first there is Panama City. A wonderful old city with buildings and ruins back to the 16th century. Situated on the Pacific coast with white sand beaches. Also there is the 636 acre Metropolitan National Park there. Basically a rainforest in the city!

Then there is the famous Panama Canal. We'll be planning a day trip down the canal to Lake Pedro Miguel and back.

We would never miss Portobelo. A Spanish colonial town where much of the gold from South America passed through on its way back to Spain. The famous Captain Henry Morgan captured the town in the 1668 and the forts are still there and open to the public.

Another couple of days are planned for El Valle. Beautiful rainforest situated in the crater of a long extinct volcano. Waterfalls, wildlife and wonderful hiking!

We are still in the planning stages so if you have ideas or suggestions for the Panama trip feel free to comment below and give us great some ideas.
